Amid the troubles Privé Las Vegas’ operators are having getting their next project, The Rose Cocktail Lounge, off the ground at Mandalay Bay (lease terminated for non-payment, liquor license denied, Privé Vegas files chapter 11 bankruptcy protection…), their staff apparently has started jumping ship.
The Rose’s would-be GM Mike Diamond reportedly has packed up and left the flagging project, seeking bluer skies with N9NE Group at Ghostbar. There, Diamond will allegedly assist with the promotions of the aging club/lounge, which will reportedly be renovated some time after the Super Bowl and debut a fresh new look and sound in March.
A rep for N9NE Group would not confirm this statement, saying only, “There are no new developments to report.” A source within N9NE Group confirms upgrades to sound and lighting plus some spiffy new seating on the patio.
Thanks in part to Diamond’s own musical background (he’s a guitarist and vocalist with a forthcoming solo album, also due in March), rumor has it that Wednesdays are to become a new focus for the face-lifted venue, as will monthly acoustic nights on the patio spotlighting the likes of Scott Weiland and Papa Roach.
Updates forthcoming as more details come to light.
