New from McSweeney’s: Be a Nose, a $29 bundle of sketchbooks from Maus creator—and Pulitzer-winner—Art Spiegelman.
Each sketchbook derives from a different year in Spiegelman's development. This airy, whimsical drawing is from late 1979.
The March-September 1983 volume finds the artist working with denser, darker images.
By March-May 2007, the density of line often remains, but there's a comic, conceptual element, too.
