Pour some Bourbon on it!

Image
Mmm… Bourbon.

Sometimes, I feel sorry for the boys at corporate in the fast-food chains. The competition must be stressful, the pressure relentless and the odds of coming up with something truly original about the same as the Cubs’ to win the World Series.

Carl’s Jr. has debuted its new Kentucky Bourbon Burger, available as a single or double patty, starting at $4.29. The sandwich is filled with good things to eat; garlic pepper onion straws (which appear to be more like crumbs), bacon, pepper-jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and a sweet Bourbon glaze, which overpowers the sandwich and masks the beef.

If I order one again, I’ll make it a double; it takes two patties to stand up to the filler. And don’t even think about the calorie count.
