It was quite the mixed bag of star sightings and celebrity hostings in Las Vegas this weekend. UFC 106 brought a range of comedians, musicians, and MMA fighters to town.
The city had a relatively quiet Friday, fairly action-packed Saturday and virtually silent Sunday in terms of celebrity sightings.
UFC boss Dana White kicked off his big weekend on Friday with dinner at N9NE Steakhouse, then kicked things up a notch and ordered VIP bottle service at Moon nightclub afterward.
Actor/comedian/MMA enthusiast Joe Rogan was also in the N9NE dining room on Friday. He had dinner with eight friends before moving over to Playboy Club, where they sampled the eye candy for dessert.
Also at the Playboy Club that night was Palms showroom headliner Matt Goss' (former?) leading lady, Daisy Fuentes. She and her mother headed to the sexy nightspot after they had dinner at N9NE.
The mother-daughter pair had dinner on property the following night, too, at Simon at Palms Place.
Al B. Sure rounded out Friday's celeb sightings at the Palms. the singer/songwriter/producer was spotted sipping Ketel One cocktails at Rain as resident DJ Skribble manned the turntables for DJ Z-Trip, who had the night off.
Also on Friday, actor Jason Alexander was at Planet Hollywood, and was seen enjoying dinner at Strip House.
Lil Jon was in town this weekend, too, and lived it up at Lavo on Friday, first with dinner, then with drinks in the upper level nightclub.
Also at the Palazzo hotspot that night was rap/rock band Hollywood Undead and drummer Glendon Crain's girlfriend, adult temptress Stormy Daniels. Megan Hauserman from Megan Wants a Millionaire was also there, as was former American Idol contestant Blake Lewis.
Cranky comic Lewis Black got things started on Friday evening and took to Terry Fator’s stage in the Mirage for back-to-back performances Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, British up-and-coming singer Jay Sean was at The Bank at the Bellagio; Stacie Hall of "The Hills" was at Jet at the Mirage; and former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon was spotted twice at Luxor, at Company, then LAX.
Kenny G rounded out Friday's lineup, and performed out in Primm, at the Star of the Desert Arena.
Saturday was a far-more eventful evening, with UFC 106 going down at Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Tito Ortiz met Forrest Griffin in the Octagon in the main event of the night, while others including Josh “Kos” Koscheck and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson; Amir Sadollah and Phil Baroni; Luiz Cane and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira; Karo Parisyan and Dustin Hazelett; and Ben Saunders and Marcus Davis also faced off.
Ortiz nursed his post-loss wounds at his post-fight party at Tao (with his smokin' hot girlfriend-turned-naughty-nurse Jenna Jameson at his side), while Griffin headed to Jet to celebrate his win.
Meanwhile, Johnson held court at Studio 54 and Sadollah threw the official Tap Out post fight party at Privé, where Lil Jon joined him.
MMA ring girl Natasha Wicks also threw a post-UFC 106 party on Saturday night, and oversaw the festivities at Hawaiian Tropic Zone.
Two of the Hard Rock Hotel's loyal customers, Former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro and baseballer Jason Giambi, were in town and on property on Saturday. The actor and the athlete both had dinner at Rare 120 that night.
Ribeiro headed to Body English after his evening meal, where Dontrelle Willis of the Detroit Tigers was among the mass of other partiers.
Also on Saturday, former NFL wide receiver Tim Brown celebrated his upcoming Pro Football Hall of Fame eligibility with an afternoon event at Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill. The 1987 Heisman Trophy winner is up for the 2010 honor, and was at the country singer's B&G at Harrah’s from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. that day.
Also on Saturday, pop singers Kaci Battaglia and Robin Thicke were both at The Bank, while both Jessie James and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin were at Pure.
Saturday's line-up ended with Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina, who performed out in Primm on Saturday night.
Lastly, Andre Agassi wound things down on Sunday, and popped by a local Costco to sign copies of his new book, Open.
